Round 6 of All Japan Motocross Championship took place at Meihan Sports Land at Nara prefecture.
Welcoming the race day for team Bells Racing / SoCal MXTF and Kainosuke Oshiro’s home course.
The IA-2 Class race is formed from 2 Heats and the overall position will be decided.
In Heat 1 Oshiro made a good start off the line and come back the first lap in 5th. Charging through the field he gains a position to 4th in lap 3, showing strong points and being in the position to aim the podium or even a victory. However, he crashed with another rider and was in a difficult situation to regain what he had lost. As a result, it took some time to recover and ends Heat 1 in a disappointing 14th position.
In Heat 2 Oshiro clears first lap in 7th position and fought hard to catch the rivals in front. By lap 15 he was able to gain 2 positions to 5th. Oshiro had continued his best to gain a position however, the gap between the leaders were a little too big to catch up. As a result, he finished the race in 4th position, actually gaining a position with his style of never giving up.
“In HeatⅠI was able to have a good start without any troubles and I thought to myself I can win this race. However, with my misjudgment, I had crashed with another rider and hit my head hard. From there I tried to get back onto the track, but it took some time for me to recover and finished Heat 1 in a disappointing 14th.
I quickly reflected with what happened in Heat 1 and tried to be calm in Heat 2. However, I was being too cautious and took too much time to get to 5th. Therefore, by the time I got there, the gap was a little too far however, I tried all my best and never gave up. At the end, sadly, the rider in front had crashed so I was able to gain a spot to 4th and it was not enough for me to go up on the podium.
There were a lot of tasks that I have to get through and I will do whatever it takes to clear all the tasks and be ready to win at next round.
Please look forward for next race and thank you everyone for all of your support.”
